Berklee Student Teams Up with Graduate Friends from Harvard, MIT, and Boston University to Launch Beijing’s First Transparent Idol Academy: Class A
Beijing, China – April 30, 2025 — In a groundbreaking collaboration among elite academic institutions, Dingyu Chen, an undergraduate student at Berklee College of Music, has joined forces with graduate students Liu (Boston University), Fu (Harvard University), and Wang (MIT) to co-found Class A Idol Academy, Beijing’s first transparent, professionally structured idol training institution.

The school is committed to fostering both artistic excellence and personal growth, offering a development path that blends voice, dance, performance, and personality cultivation, alongside courses in fashion, media presence, and global culture.
Curriculum Highlights:
-
Singing, rap, and dance taught by Berklee alumni and professional performers
-
Performance, stage presence, and international etiquette training
-
Opportunities to perform on large-scale stages and receive industry referrals
-
Mentorship from instructors with experience in K-pop, jazz, modeling, and acting
-
Cross-cultural education from Harvard and NYU graduates
Collaborations:
Class A has established partnerships with major entertainment agencies and event platforms in China and South Korea, and maintains a pipeline for talent recommendation to top variety shows and production houses.
Quote from Founder Dingyu Chen:
